Ninth Letter Vol. 8, No. 2
Ninth Letter vol 8, issue 2 dealt with emphasizing typography over imagery, extensive typographic research, using alternative typographic methods, and experimenting with QR codes. As a production assistant and project manager I oversaw the entire design process of this issue. It was recently recognized by the Type Director’s Club.
The text section of the book flowed every story and it’s marginalia into one compact space. This decision to neglect the written content of the journal allowed for extra space in the book to design with, but it forced us to think about how to design with a lot of content in a small space. I found it interesting that this issue treated the written content in the opposite way as the previous issue I worked on. You can see more about this issue here.
